Jennifer Meekins - President Jennifer Meekins of Clayton, Delaware, is a full-time mom of three and founder of The Young Actors Guild. She is passionate about education and the arts; a passion she utilizes in homeschooling and her work with children's theater. Amanda Crum - Secretary
One of the newest members of The Young Actors Guild, Amanda joined the board of directors in 2019. She became involved in YAG in 2018, when she helped assist in the production of Little Women/Comic Book Artist. Amanda has always had a passion for the arts, performing in theater productions and chorus ensembles beginning at the age of 10. Amanda teaches for Wilmington University’s Reading program while also homeschooling her three boys. Originally from Pennsylvania, Amanda and her family love to explore different areas of Delaware, especially around their home in Clayton, through hiking and biking trips. |
Amber Frushon - Vice President
Amber Frushon has been a board member with The Young Actors Guild, Inc since 2014. Amber is from the Smyrna, DE area and grew up with a passion and appreciation for theater, art, and non-profit work. Amber currently serves as The Young Actors Guild, Inc's Secretary and has been on the production staff for multiple shows for the organization since she started. She currently works full time for iHeartMedia, Inc (94.7 WDSD, 92.9 TOM-FM, WILM 1450 AM, and WDOV 1410 AM) as an Account Executive in Dover, DE and resides in Smyrna, DE with her family. Heather Wright - Treasurer
Heather Wright is the newest member on the board of directors. Although new to the board, she is not new to The Young Actors Guild. Heather has been an active volunteer for YAG since 2016. Heather has a lifelong love of the arts and will continue that love for the arts with her son, who has acted in multiple productions with The Young Actors Guild. Heather is an active participant on the Fund-Raising Committee and looks forward to future productions and exciting events The Young Actors Guild has in store for the upcoming year. Heather has a financial industry background and has been in her current role for several years with a focus on Operational Risk and Compliance. Heather currently resides in Dover with her family and her rescued fur babies. |
Barbara Meekins - Board Member
Barbara Meekins is a longtime resident of Clayton, Delaware. She loves traveling, nature, sewing, and spending time with her three grandsons. She is a retired office manager and executive secretary. A founding member of The Young Actors Guild, Barbara fills her time with various volunteer pursuits, including serving as librarian for her church, assisting others in genealogical research, and sewing countless beautiful costumes for our young actors. |
Brianna Barkus - Board Member Brianna Barkus is a middle school science and drama teacher at MOT Charter School in Middletown, DE. She has always had a passion for theatre and genuinely enjoys sharing that passion with the students she works with, including her three children who have grown up participating in YAG productions. |
Audra Littleton - Board Member
Audra has been a board member with The Young Actors Guild since 2014 and has significant experience with various aspects of the theatre. Originally from the south, she has been active with the Delaware youth community for most of the twenty years she has been in central Delaware. Audra owned and operated Princess Parties, Inc. for four years and then served another four years as a Girl Scout leader before switching gears to homeschooling her children and co-founding Elements Homeschool Co-Op in 2015. She continues to invest her time in improving the community through her involvement with feline rescue groups, local clean-up efforts and teaching several personal enrichment classes through Kent County Parks & Recreation. Audra lives in Clayton with her husband, two children and several feline fur-babies.
